| Preparing teachers who: have first class knowledge of Turkish language with its historic and cultural background;
are aware of the meaning and nature of language;
importance of language in society; language-culture relationship;
will be able to transfer Turkish language as a national heritage;
will develop reading, speaking and writing skills of young generation in Turkish at the highest level;
have a positive and caring attitude towards their students and actively promote success in learning;

will educate primary school students with awareness and love of language;
have a modern approach to the teaching of their subject;
understand how school students learn and develop;

| Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to : |
| OP-1 : | have content knowledge at an adequate level. |
