| The objective of Program in Laboratory and Veterinary Assistance Services is to train personnel that assist veterinary physicians in laboratory and clinical practices, safety of animal products, and animal breeding. The program offers education and job opportunities for young population in our country, and contributes to improving the quality of veterinary assistance services. |

| Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to : |
| OP-1 : | Provide regular operation of laboratory equipment and use it effectively, Identify laboratory deficiencies and make requests |

| OP-2 : | Consciously apply the measures related to laboratory hygiene and safety |
|
| OP-3 : | Can take samples for microbiological, biochemical, parasitological and pathological examination, store and preserve them under appropriate conditions, process and apply the necessary tests. |

| OP-4 : | They can apply health, hygiene and care services as a veterinarian assistant in Private Veterinary Clinics, Animal Hospitals and farms. |

| OP-5 : | Applies the necessary measures for the prevention of communicable and zoonotic diseases. |

| OP-6 : | It can determine the mating time of the animals, perform artificial insemination under the responsibility of the Veterinarian, determine and follow the pregnancy and birth process. |

| OP-7 : | It can take preventive measures on fertility, udder and foot health, which is one of the most important problems in animal husbandry, and inform the veterinarian in a timely manner. |
