Education Objectives of the Programme : 

The aim of the department is to give basic knowledge of probability, statistics and stochastic process and to teach this knowledge to students by using computer software 

Learning Outcomes of the Programme : 

Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to : 
OP1:  Capable to use statistical analysis techniques efficiently.  
OP2:  Design experiments on statistical problems, construct mathematical models of the problems, solve the problems and evaluate the results.  
OP3:  Identify the proper methods to use in statistical data analysis of the data, use statistical analysis software and apply the methods.  
OP4:  Use mathematics efficiently to solve problems on the fields of Statistics and Computer Sciences.  
OP5:  Have proper knowledge and skills to identify, define, formulate and solve Statistics and Computer Science problems; and have professional and ethical responsibility in all these stages.  
OP6:  Be aware of social and ethical responsibilities and participate in group work.  
OP7:  Follow the advances in Computer Science and use the modern computer technology efficiently.  
OP8:  Apply obtained theoretical knowledge to solve problems on fields of probability and statistics; propose scientific methods on solution of the problems, and present the suggested methods in a written or verbal way to other persons and institutions.  
OP9:  Design algorithms, use programming languages and apply the fundamental principles and methods of Computer Science on the solution of complex problems.  
OP10:  Think critically and creatively, work both independently and in groups.  
OP11:  Improve gathered knowledge and skills continuously, evaluate them with a criticizing approach, and apply the obtained skills to various disciplines.
