The aim of the course:
Main objective of this course is to develop the ability to interpret the unique situation of the polar and deep seas through international conventions and to evaluate the policies within the global system.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : international conventions related to Antarctica, Arctica and deep seas,7,101,
LO - 2 : explain the differences of the policies of the countries on the polar issues,7,101,
LO - 3 : interpret poles and deep seas issues,7,101,
LO - 4 : explain Turkey's studies on Antarctica, Arctic and deep seas7,101,
LO - 5 : present related to Antarctica, Arctica and the deep seas.7,101,

Contents of the Course
The history and rights of the polar and the international conventions, the processes and operation of the bases, logistics in the polar countries and their cooperation with each other, polar policies and international relations of the countries, the definition, usage, research, fishing and mining activities, international use of the seabed and conventions
