The aim of the course:
Main approaches and aspects of Political Sciology will be taken into consideration in this course. Also, the researches about Political Sociology will be examined.

Introduction to the course. Political Sociology and its definition. Politics, power and state. Authority, legitimacy and political system. Authority and the types of legitimacy. The dependency of politics and its relatively autonomy. Rediscovery of politics. Elit Theory and The Determination of politics . The relationships between politics and power. Sociological analysis of politics. Historical sociology and Marxist Tradition. . Historical sociology and state. A controversy on objectivity in sociology. Political sociology and philosophy. Relativism in political sociology. Modernity and postmodernism I-II.
