The aim of the course:
To provide the students with the knowledge and skills of approaching the animal in external diseases, examination and diagnosis.
 
Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : To be able to present the animal to the examination in the external diseases and the examination methods applied to the patient for the diagnosis of external diseases.11
LO - 2 : Learn anesthesia and narcosis with asepsis and antisepsis.11
LO - 3 : Learns dressing and drainage by stopping bleeding.11
LO - 4 : Learns seams.11
LO - 5 : Learns vitamins, hormone and enzyme applications and inflammation and inflammatory phenomena in external diseases.11
LO - 6 : Learns formal disorders-cysts and tumors and traumatic disorders.11
LO - 7 : Learns diseases of skin and connective tissue, muscle and tendon diseases, artery and venae diseases.11
LO - 8 : Learns nervous tissue, bone tissue and joint diseases.11
LO - 9 : Learns the operations of the ear, cutting and removal of horns.11
LO - 10 : Learns operation of hernia and castration and gynecological operations in male animals.11

Contents of the Course
History of Veterinary Surgery, Overview of the clinical aspect, presentation of the disease and sick animal to the examination, approach to the patient, examination methods applied in the diagnosis of external diseases, Asepsis and Antisepsis, pre and postoperative care, Vitamins, hormones and enzymes in surgical diseases, fluid and electrolyte balance and Surgery Introduction to diseases and basic surgical operations.
