The aim of the course:
Understanding the importance of occupational health and safety, gaining competence to take necessary precautions to protect against workplace accidents and occupational diseases according to risk groups by learning the relevant legal legislation

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Explain the concepts related to occupational health and safety and the importance of occupational health and safety4 - 131,
LO - 2 : Understand the legal rights and responsibilities of employees by considering the relevant regulations4 - 131,

LO - 4 : Know and use occupational safety equipments4 - 131,

Contents of the Course
Principles of occupational health and safety practices and safety culture, labor law, and occupational health and safety legislation, health monitoring in the workplace, legal consequences arising from workplace accidents and occupational diseases, and occupational health and safety management systems, work environment monitoring and occupational hygiene, risk assessment and management, physical risk factors, biological risk factors, psychosocial risk factors, chemical risk factors, safe working with chemicals, safety data sheets (SDS), storage of chemicals, safety and health signs, personal protective equipment, safe use of work equipment, manual handling, working with display screen equipment, ergonomics, electricity, hazards, risks, and precautions, flash, explosion, fire and fire prevention, evacuation and rescue, work accidents, causes, and prevention principles, occupational diseases and work-related illnesses, first aid and emergency rules
