| Objectives of the Programme : |

| Architecture department aims at training architecture human resource that the country needs among the other human resources. Architecture is not only teaching building and its design and building process, but also training person, group, society and their behavioral patterns and searching the way to design and produce proper building and space for person and society for today and the future. The architecture department aims at furnishing students with sufficient knowledge so that they can have the ability to solve problems in their professional lives with their synthesis capability. |

| Learning Outcomes of the Programme : |

| Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to : |
| OP-1 : | understand to express the every stage of programming and design process as formal to prepare suitable presentations with hand drawing and some other technics that computer tecnologies are used in. |
|
| OP-2 : | classify and commentate the visual and written information during the architectural and urban design process to use on creating and editing the project. |
|
| OP-3 : | learn the visual perception of two and three dimensioned architectural and urban design, and understand the occuring, developing and application of editing policies. |
|
| OP-4 : | understand the importance and affects of historical environment to the national and regional architecture and urban design. |
|
| OP-5 : | understand the required basic techniques to document the historical buildings, and to prepare measurement drawings and restoration projects by recognizing the historical environment and obtaining consciousness of protection. |

| OP-6 : | understand the interaction between environment-human-culture, different behavior patterns, social and spatial network and perceive the responsibility of finding and analysing user's requirements. |

| OP-7 : | understand the importance of natural and artificial sources ?protection and creating healthier buildings and settlements? depending on the importance of sustainability in architecture and urban design decisions. |

| OP-8 : | gain the decision-making skills on building, interior design and settlement levels by learning the principles of basic architectural design. |

| OP-9 : | gain the skills to evaluate, choise and integrate to design process, the structure, building shell systems, security and building services systems. |

| OP-10 : | understand the basic principles of lighting, acoustics, air conditioning and energy usage subjects in the design of environmental systems. |

| OP-11 : | understand the basics of building service system designs comprised of building installation, electrical equipment, vertical circulation, communication, fire protection and life safety. |

| OP-12 : | will be able to understand the principles and standarts about the usage and aplication of building materials and components. |

| OP-13 : | understand the basic principles of project management, finance, building economy and cost control,office organisation, workplanning, marketing, risk reduction-connection and leadership within the architectural project. |

| OP-14 : | understand the architect?s professional ethics and legal responsibilities about subject as property rights, development and housing regulations, user rights which affects the building design, construction and architectural studies for public health, security and welfare. |
