Founded in 1965, the Department of Geology aims at educating and training students within modern and up-to-date norms in order to transform them into engineers with the know-how on the research of natural resources, the needs of the society as well as self improvement through life-long-learning strategies |

Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to : |
OP-1 : | Use basic professional and engineering knowledge | |
OP-2 : | Design, develop, and apply methods and experiments to solve geological problems, and analyse and interpret their results | |
OP-3 : | Identify the needs to be able to solve any kinds of problems regarding geological time scale | |
OP-4 : | Setup interdisciplinary approach to reach a solution for engineering problems | |
OP-5 : | Identify, plan and solve geological problems | |
OP-6 : | Show due professional and ethical responsibility at times of identification and solution of geological problems | |
OP-7 : | Work on his own or in multidisciplinary groups and achieve an effective communication in such group activities | |
