| Objectives of the Programme : |

| The department aims at providing its students with a broad knowledge in all fields of mining, developing students' ability to determine and solve mining engineering problems, educating students to have sufficient knowledge and experience on methods selection for mining activities, and improving their computing skills. |

| Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to : |
| OP-1 : | understands and applies basic sciences, mathematics and Mining Engineering sciences at a high level. |

| OP-2 : | gain extensive and knowledge in detail, including the latest developments in Mining Engineering. |
|
| OP-3 : | reaches the latest information in a field and has a high level of proficiency in the methods and skills necessary to make research by comprehending them. |

| OP-4 : | carries out a comprehensive study that brings innovation to science or technology, develops a new scientific method or technological product/process, or applies a known method to a new field. |

| OP-5 : | independently perceives, designs, implements and concludes an original research process; manages this process |

| OP-6 : | contributes to the science and technology literature by publishing the outputs of its academic studies in prestigious academic environments. |

| OP-7 : | evaluates scientific, technological, social and cultural developments and conveys them to the society with the awareness of scientific impartiality and ethical responsibility. |

| OP-8 : | performs critical analysis, synthesis and evaluation of ideas and developments in the field of expertise. |

| OP-9 : | communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing, with those working in the field of specialization and the wider scientific and social community, communicating and discussing at an advanced level of written, oral and visual communication using a foreign language at least at the C1 General Level of the European Language Portfolio. |
