| Objectives of the Programme : |

| The postgraduate PhD programme in Department of Physiology of Blacksea Technical University operates considering the law of 2547-Law of Higher Education and the item numbered 65 Regulation Related to Postgraduate Studies Implementing Regulation Related to Doctorate Studies by Interuniversity Council (UAK) and the main framework by the Higher Educational Committee, and provides high quality education with national and international standarts in field of Medical Physiology with the aim of providing adequate skill and attitudes for gaining capacity of scientific approach to perform independent research investigating the underlyning mechansisms of physiological functions through supervised thesis studies. |

| Outcomes of the Programme : |

| Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to : |
| OP-1 : | Students remember and evaluate knowledge on the cell physiology at an academic level. |
|
| OP-2 : | Students remember and evaluate knowledge on the systematic physiology and organism at an academic level. |
|
| OP-3 : | Students remember and evaluate knowledge on normal functions and pathophysiology of common dysfunctions in the human body at an academic level. |
|
| OP-4 : | Students remember and evaluate knowledge on the mechanisms of basic physiological functions, from nerves to muscles and from the brain to hormones, in depth that can be discussed at an academic level. |

| OP-5 : | Graduates can use the theoretical/practical skills to design and independently conduct a research project. |
|
| OP-6 : | Graduates can follow, analyze, discuss and transfer national / international academic publications in the field of physiology and related sciences. |

| OP-7 : | Graduates know the use of experimental animals in scientific research and have knowledge, attitudes and skills about the scientific and ethical approach necessary for the evaluation of biological materials obtained from such experimental studies. |

| OP-8 : | Graduates effectively design and implement studies related to analysis, measurement and evaluation in the physiology laboratory. |

| OP-9 : | Graduates gain experience in reporting laboratory findings in written form in accordance with scientific principles and norms. |

| OP-10 : | Takes responsibility within the research team and/or conducts independent studies. |

| OP-11 : | Reaches the level of critical knowledge, solves scientific problems by following ethical rules. |

| OP-12 : | Prepares scientific publications in national/international refereed journals. |

| OP-13 : | Makes presentations at national/international meetings. |

| OP-14 : | Graduates gain the authority and responsibility to pursue a career in medical physiology as independent scientific researchers or faculty members. |
