Objectives of the Programme :
The main objective of curriculum of Mechanical Engineering Department is to provide a professional education and a career both for the students of undergraduate and graduate programs. In association with its primary purpose, it is also aimed to graduate engineers well educated parallel to the rapidly developing technology with required knowledge and ability to transmit this knowledge to practice and having ability to make analyses and syntheses in a wide range of related areas of mechanical engineering.

Learning Outcomes of the Programme :
Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to :
OP-1 : have sufficient knowledge on the related subjects to mathematics, physical sciences and mechanical engineering; and apply these knowledge in modelling and solving engineering problems.
OP-2 : define, formulize and solve complex engineering problems related to mechanical engineering and choose the suitable modelling and analysis methods and implement them.
OP-3 : design a complex system, process, device or product under realistic constraints and conditions in order to meet desired requirements; and use modern design methods.
OP-4 : develop, choose and use the required modern techniques and tools for mechanical engineering applications; and use information technologies efficiently.
OP-5 : design and conduct experiments, gather data, and analyze and interprete the results for investigating the mechanical engineering problems.
OP-6 : work effectively in disciplinary and interdisciplinary teams; and work individually.
OP-7 : effectively communicate in Turkish and/or English orally and written.
OP-8 : aware of life-long learning; and access to knowledge; follow the developments in science and technology; andpersistently keep up to date.
OP-9 : have professional and ethical responsibilities.
OP-10 : have the knowledge of practices in business life such as project, risk and change management; and aware of entrepreneurship, innovativeness, and sustainable development.
OP-11 : have the knowledge about the influence of mechanical engineering applications on health, environment and security together with the problems of the era in universal and social dimensions; and aware of the legal outcomes of mechanical engineering solutions.
