| Objectives of the Programme : |

To inform students about urban planning systems in In Turkey and other countries, and related procedures involved in urban development and managing the environment.
To promote an ethical approach towards planning and managing the environment, while striving for social justice.
To promote competent and innovative investigations of and responses to planning issues, policies and outcomes. |

| Outcomes of the Programme : |

| Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to : |
| OP-1 : | Develop understanding of and ability to apply the theories, philosophies and process of planning and design in all scale planning and design, management |
|
| OP-2 : | Gain integrated development and strategic/forward planning, project building and management |
|
| OP-3 : | Have to the knowledge of key concepts in planning and urban design literature (history, theory, methods and law) and ability to draw upon this knowledge in responding to specific planning and design issues. |

| OP-4 : | Have skills enabling learning from practical experience and application of ideas drawn from past practice to new situations. |
|
| OP-5 : | Develop an understanding of and ability to apply and critically evaluate current planning and design policies and frameworks, mechanisms, administrative structures and legislation in Turkey |

| OP-6 : | Develop anunderstanding of and ability to apply and critically evaluate current planning and design policies and frameworks, mechanisms, administrative structures and legislation in Turkey |

| OP-7 : | Do comparative international cases, as well as an ability to develop new policies and frameworks. |
