Objectives of the Programme :
The aim of the Ph.D. program is to give students the ability to conduct independent research, to interpret the scientific events with a broad and deep perspective, and to identify the steps necessary to reach new syntheses.
 
Outcomes of the Programme :
Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to :
OP-1 : Being able to develop and deepen current and advanced knowledge in the field of Naval Architecture and Marine Mechanical Engineering at the level of expertise with original thought and/or research, and reach original definitions that will bring innovation to the field, based on postgraduate qualifications.
OP-2 : To be able to comprehend the interdisciplinary interaction that the field of Shipbuilding and Marine Mechanical Engineering is related to; Ability to reach original results by using knowledge that requires expertise in analyzing, synthesizing and evaluating new and complex ideas.
OP-3 : Developing an innovative new idea, method, design and/or application or applying a known idea, method, design and/or application to the field of Naval Architecture and Marine Mechanical Engineering, researching, comprehending, designing, adapting and applying an original subject.
OP-4 : To be able to develop methods, designs and applications by using the most up-to-date information about basic sciences, mathematics and engineering sciences.
OP-5 : To gain high-level skills in using research methods in studies related to the field of Shipbuilding and Marine Mechanical Engineering.
OP-6 : To be able to expand the limits of knowledge by publishing at least one scientific article in the field of Naval Architecture and Marine Mechanical Engineering in national and international peer-reviewed journals or by producing or interpreting an original work.
OP-7 : Ability to critically analyze, synthesize and evaluate new and complex ideas.
OP-8 : To be able to establish an effective communication with experts in international platforms, defending their original views and demonstrating their competence in the discussion of issues in the field of Shipbuilding and Marine Mechanical Engineering.
OP-9 : To be able to communicate and discuss at an advanced level in written, oral and visual using a foreign language at least at the C1 General Level of the European Language Portfolio.
OP-10 : To be able to contribute to the process of becoming an information society and maintaining it by introducing scientific, technological, social or cultural advances in the field of Shipbuilding and Marine Mechanical Engineering.
OP-11 : Ability to lead in environments that require the resolution of unique and interdisciplinary problems.
