Objectives of the Programme :
The main aim of this program is to train competent staff who have gained the discipline of effective and efficient work in basic fields such as physics, chemistry and biology, nutrition and environment in life sciences, especially in health sciences, and who are equipped with entrepreneurial skills. In addition to providing students with a quality education, the Biochemistry associate degree program also aims to meet the need for qualified intermediate staff needed by the job market.
 
Learning Outcomes of the Programme :
Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to :
OP-1 : Understand the structural features and richness of the Turkish language and have a mother tongue awareness.
OP-2 : In accordance with the principles and reforms of Atatürk, a sense of national consciousness is fostered by focusing on the tenets of his thought.
OP-3 : It gains a basic level of English proficiency
OP-4 : It defines basic concepts related to information technologies
OP-5 : They use the basic computer knowledge they have learned to achieve more effective information access in their professional career.
OP-6 : Develop the ability to utilize computer software and hardware at a fundamental level
OP-7 : Basic mathematical calculations are performed.
OP-8 : Basic chemistry knowledge is utilized in solving or interpreting problems encountered in work and daily life
OP-9 : By utilizing its fundamental knowledge and skills, the individual is able to analyze data, identify problems, and develop solution proposals. This ability enables the individual to effectively apply their skills in a professional setting.
OP-10 : Basic application methods related to their profession are learned

OP-12 : Skilled in both individual and group work
OP-13 : Adheres to laboratory safety and OSH rules in tasks performed
OP-14 : The basic molecules found in biological systems, their biochemical structures, functions, metabolisms, and their relationships with each other are understoo
OP-15 : General information about the structure of microorganisms is obtained
OP-16 : Quality management systems are known in the tasks performed.
OP-17 : Sampling, data collection, analysis techniques, and evaluation of data for forensic and criminal investigations are known.
OP-18 : Ethical principles related to their profession are known, and competence is attained to work within these principles.
OP-19 : Enzyme classification is known, and reaction types can be determined according to enzyme classes.
OP-20 : Preparation of tissue and cell cultures is known.
OP-21 : Taking on responsibilities related to their profession, they effectively communicate within the scope of these responsibilities and make relevant arrangements.
OP-22 : Gaining new skills and techniques for their career, along with the ability to apply theoretical knowledge into practice.
OP-23 : The ability to transfer acquired knowledge to others is gained.
OP-24 : Some basic biochemistry terms are learned, and fundamental analysis methods in biochemistry are known.
OP-25 : The systems within the human body are understood, and how they are controlled at both cellular and systemic levels is expressed
OP-26 : The concepts of life and cells are understood, and organisms can be classified.
OP-27 : Theoretical knowledge about the physical, chemical, and microbiological properties of foods is acquired, the functions of additives are explained, and practical analyses can be performed.
OP-28 : Basic concepts in clinical biochemistry are understood, and analysis methods are applied.
OP-29 : The structure, function, classification, and mechanisms of action of vitamins and hormones are known.
OP-30 : The skill of delivering presentations in front of an audience is acquired.
OP-31 : Legal rights and responsibilities are understood, and the legal consequences of workplace accidents are explained.
OP-32 : In the tasks they perform, they adhere to laboratory safety and occupational health and safety regulations, and they acquire this awareness.
OP-33 : Basic first aid knowledge is acquired.
