| Objectives of the Programme : |

| The department aims at providing its students with a broad knowledge in all fields of history, developing students' historical knowledge, educating students to have sufficient knowledge on historical events. |

| Learning Outcomes of the Programme : |

| Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to : |
| OP-1 : | Gains the ability to apply the accumulated knowledge on the basic concepts and theories of historical science to their research. |

| OP-2 : | Have basic knowledge on local history. |
|
| OP-3 : | Any political, social and economic phenomena and events encountered in the historical process can put forward a scientific study by evaluating it in the light of interdisciplinary approaches. |
|
| OP-4 : | Gain the ability to design and solve the solution processes for the needs and problems in historical science with contemporary methods. |
|
| OP-5 : | Know and apply the basic sources of historical science and the methods (such as language, criticism, digitalisation and analysis of data) that will help them analyse these sources. |
|
| OP-6 : | To be able to evaluate the studies on the field of history with a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary orientation. |
|
| OP-7 : | In addition to their individual studies, they can take part in projects and other working groups by being aware of teamwork and adapting to each position within the team. |

| OP-8 : | Learn at least one foreign language in addition to being able to use their mother tongue effectively both orally and in writing. |

| OP-9 : | Work with the awareness of the ethical and moral values required by the profession. |

| OP-10 : | Follow all scientific, technological and digital developments in the field of social sciences in the context of lifelong learning principle. |
