| To train health technicians who have the knowledge and skills to perform biochemical, microbiological, pathological and hematological analyzes of medical materials using laboratory equipment, machines, tools and equipment. |

| Learning Outcomes of the Programme : |

| Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to : |
| OP-1 : | Has and uses basic laboratory knowledge about laboratory safety in the field of health, basic and routine laboratory methods, computer software required by the medical laboratory field, information and communication technologies, and devices and instruments specific to the field. |

| OP-2 : | Participates as technical personnel in laboratory studies, assumes responsibilities, contributes to the work and works harmoniously within the team. |
|
| OP-3 : | Recognizes the disciplines related to the field of Medical Laboratory Techniques and understands the necessary information related to the laboratory field within these disciplines and uses it correctly in the field. |
|
| OP-4 : | Has and uses basic laboratory knowledge about laboratory safety in the field of health, basic and routine laboratory methods, computer software required by the medical laboratory field, information and communication technologies, and devices and instruments specific to the field. |

| OP-6 : | Knows ethical principles, health ethics issues and the importance of ethics committees for the individual and society. Communicates effectively verbally and in writing with colleagues, patients, physicians and other healthcare professionals with a solution-oriented approach, observing social, scientific and professional ethical values during the stages of obtaining patient samples, recording them and working in the laboratory. |

| OP-7 : | Knows English at a level that allows her to read and understand current developments in the field of health. |

| OP-8 : | Knows her/his duties, rights and responsibilities as an individual working in the medical laboratory field, and acts in accordance with the relevant laws, regulations and legislation. |

| OP-9 : | He/she acquires individual awareness by improving himself/herself professionally, socially and culturally. |

| OP-10 : | Have the ability to associate the structure/function/functions of human metabolism and body systems with microbial/parasitic factors or diseases. |

| OP-11 : | By using language skills effectively, one can adopt national, moral, spiritual and cultural values and be open to universal and contemporary developments. |

| OP-12 : | Gains the awareness of working as a team leader/member by using the relevant first aid knowledge to solve problems in unforeseen accident situations encountered in the work area. |
