| The aim of the department is to give basic knowledge of probability, statistics and stochastic process and to teach this knowledge to students by using computer software |

| Outcomes of the Programme : |
|
| Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to : |
| OP-1 : | Should be able to model statistical problems mathematically and use theoretical, methodological and computational statistics knowledge in problem solving and interpretation phases. |
|
| OP-2 : | Should be able to solve statistical problems with the help of computers and use computers and mathematics effectively in the solution phase. |
|
| OP-3 : | Should be able to use the knowledge gained in the field and the problem solving methods learned in the solution of problems in different disciplines. |
|
| OP-4 : | Must be able to effectively use statistical software, current techniques for statistical applications, computer software and hardware, and write computer programs that will speed up statistical calculations. |
|
| OP-5 : | Must have the ability to organize, clean and prepare databases for statistical analysis. |
|
| OP-6 : | Will be able to provide statistical consultancy, present the problems analyzed in written and oral form, and write reports on the results of statistical analysis. |
|
| OP-7 : | Should be able to work in disciplinary and interdisciplinary teams, take responsibility as a leader, and have the ability to work independently and be an entrepreneur. |
|
| OP-8 : | Must have the ability to effectively communicate in Turkish and English, both orally and in writing, in order to define, analyze and interpret statistical problems. |
|
| OP-9 : | Should be able to evaluate the people and facts involved in the developments in his/her field in terms of their effects on the field. They should be able to think analytically, creatively and critically, have the ability to analyze scientifically, and be aware of their social and ethical responsibilities. |
