The aim of the course:
Give information about theoretical basis of material cuttings, contact and friction, tool life, static and dynamic deformations in machining.

Metal cutting, chip formation, mechanic of machining, cutting forces, practical application of cutting, criterion of cutting power, abrasion, heat formation and distribution, effect of cutting speed, friction, modelling of machining methods, tools damages, tool life, machinability of materials, vibration, machining economy and optimization.
