The purpose of this course is to present sampling concepts and some sampling methods

Basic Concepts, Simple Random Sampling, Stratified Random Sampling, Estimation of Sample Size, Systematic Sampling, Cluster Sampling.

 Week 2Basic concepts: Precision, reliability, sample sizes and precision, unbiasedness, consistent estimator, efficiency
 Week 3Simple random sampling: Sample selection, estimator of the population mean and total, the variance of sample mean and its estimator, confidence interval
 Week 4Simple Random Sampling: Estimation of the population proportional, the variance of sample proportional and its estimator, confidence interval
 Week 5Simple Random Sampling: Determination of sample size
 Week 6Stratified Random Sampling: Definitions and notations, estimation of the population total and mean, the population variance
 Week 7Stratified Random Sampling: The variance of sample mean and its estimator
 Week 8Stratified random sampling: Estimation of the population proportion, the variance of sample proportion and its estimator
