The aim of the course:
Aims of the course are that explain the basic concepts of mineralogy, and introduce the igneous, the sedimentary and the metamorphic rocks to the students.

Contents of the Course
Nomenclature of minerals, physical properties of minerals, mineral chemistry, description of some important rock forming and ore minerals, magma, physical properties of magma, texture of magmatic rocks and nomenclature of magmatic rocks, pyroclastic rocks, sedimentary rocks, diagenesis, composition and texture of sedimentary rocks, nomenclature of metamorphic rocks, type of metamorphism, local metamorphic rocks, regional metamorphism.
