To inform students about specific topics of basic chemistry

Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : LO1.Gain the ability to differentiate metals, semi-metals and nonmetals by taking advantage of their properties and determine their place in the periodic table.
LO - 2 : LO2. Accurately characterize physical and chemical changes
LO - 3 : LO3. Gain the ability to determine the importance of using units when reporting the results of measurements.
LO - 4 : LO4. Gain the ability to use solubility rules to select appropriate solutions that will obtain the desired precipitate when mixed.
LO - 5 : LO5. Understanding what is meant by mole ratio and how to use it
LO - 6 : LO6. Gain the ability to find the volume of a gas by deducing its mass and molar volume.
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), LO : Learning Outcome
