The aim of the course:
Provide solutions to mining problems using the appropriate statistical approaches and methods.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

Contents of the Course
Basic concepts in statistics, data collection-classification-presentation, statistical parameter analysis, important distributions and their properties, basic statistical test methods and application to mining problems, comparisons of two or more groups, correlation and regression applications.
