Introduction. Control and process concepts. Basics of process control. Error measurement. Elements and configuration of control systems. Control strategies. Feedback and feed forward control. Process dynamics and modelling. Transfer functions and gain. On-off, P, PI and PID controllers. Development and scope of control strategies for mineral processing applications. Variables and measurement methods in mineral processing operations. Data analysis. Process control practices in comminution and flotation circuits. Recent developments in the control of mineral processing plants. . |
