The aim of the course:
To comprehend the planning and design of urban settlements, understanding the urban land use types and functions, aware of the distinction between common, semi-common and private organizations. Understanding the interaction between sociocultural and economic structure and space, perceiving the hierarchy of the urban area from housing to the city as a whole through the transition between scales by inductive method, developing two- and three-dimensional technical expression skills at different scales.

Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA

LO - 2 : They will be able to gradually define the urban area and its components, starting from their own living environment.9,15,175,6,
LO - 3 : They will be able to create livable residential areas at different scales within the framework of the conceptual principles and design goals they have determined: Neighborhood Unit (S: 1/500), Primary Education Unit (S: 1/1000) and Concept Plan (S: 1/5000).9,15,176,
LO - 4 : According to density and spatial calculations they will be able to make design and propose planning decisions.9,15,173,6,
LO - 5 : They will be able to present and defend their work verbally and visually in front of the community, using the two- and three-dimensional expression techniques required by different scales.9,15,175,
