The aim of the course:
To provide students with information on the basic concepts of statistics, sampling, frequency distributions, data collection/generation techniques, data analysis and interpretation, identifying related variables in the data, hypothesis testing, and teaching students to perform statistical analyzes and models both theoretically and with the help of computer programs.

Contents of the Course
Basic concepts of statistics, data collection techniques, measures of central tendency and variability, sampling types, introduction to hypothesis testing, chi-square tests for independence and homogeneity, correlation analysis, regression analysis

 Week 4Sampling, sample selection, statistical series, cumulative series, time series, spatial series, recoding of data in SPSS, use of variable sets
 Week 5Graphical analysis of statistical series and data scanning and cleaning, descriptive statistics and graphs (graph types appropriate to the scale types) in SPSS
 Week 6Graphical analysis of statistical series and creating descriptive statistics and population pyramids in SPSS
 Week 7Measures of central tendency and dispersion, distributions and hypothesis tests, graphs and normality tests in SPSS
