The aim of the course:
To teach basic principles and knowledge of melting, casting and welding methods and to give practices in laboratory for better understanding the knowledge obtained in theoretical course.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

Contents of the Course
Casting, casting sands and pattern making. Moulding and casting processes. Melting furnaces. Casting of metals and alloys (cast iron, steel and nonferrous metals). Welding processes. Flame and electrical arc cutting. Welding electrodes. Shielded-arc welding, weld defects. Soldering. Casting and welding practices in laboratory.
