The aim of the course:
The elements of design and principles of design, visual communication and perception on visual arts, connection with shape between ground , space, form and geometry, space in architecture, to make on the issues which content design principles and design elements, to development of the perception of two and three dimensional organization in different media are the main objectives of the course. By giving basics of design, design principles and elements, it aims to enhance the creativity of the student by practical applications. Basic concepts , which can be used during the life of profession, will be described to the students with some practical Works and discussion.

Contents of the Course
Basic Design Elements According to Gestalt Theory; Point, Line, Shape, Measure, Proportion, Direction, Pattern, Color elements and applications ofthese concepts. Principles of Visual Perception; Visual Communication and Visual Perception: Figure-Ground Articulation, Proximity Principle, Common Fate Principle, Similarity Principle, Continuity Principle, Closure Principle, Good Gestalt Principle and applications of these concepts. Basic Design Principles According to Gestalt Theory; Repetition, Harmony, Contrast, Hierarchy, Dominance, Balance, Unity and applications of these concepts. Spatial Elements;
