Objectives of the Programme :Aim of the Department of Interior Architecture is to train the young candidates, fully equipped with knowledge, to contribute to the creation of a better environment for human beings. In changing and developing design world, responsibilities of interior architects cover a wide range of duties, including spatial analysis; design decisions; project preparation; material selection and detailing; modeling; presentation; production; and application issues. Interior architects also deal with colour, texture, natural and artificial light, sound, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, furniture, and the like. An integrated approach is applied at the department in collaboration with the departments such as, Restoration, History of the Architecture, Construction, and Building.

LO-1 : understand the history of art, art culture, aesthetic and tools in Interior Design.
LO-2 : comprehend legal issues, ethics and responsibilities in Interior Design.
LO-3 : comprehend interactions related to Interior Design and different inter-disciplinary subjects.
LO-4 : express the ways and techniques that they are going to apply while they are researching, designing and criticizing.
LO-5 : gain skills in applying theoretical, methodological and applicable knowledge to develop suggestions and practice related to Interior Design.
LO-6 : gain to analyze data which is collected under the economic, social, physical and realistic conditions considering the users needs and aesthetic values, to synthesize different knowledge and thoughts and to interpret the results.
LO-7 : gain skills to be able to analyze necessary details to realize what they have designed and their decorations.
LO-8 : gain skills in using and choosing modern tools, techniques and technologies about projects, designing, drawing, finance and applications which they will use in all stages ranging from designing to the applications of projects in Interior Design.
LO-9 : gain skills in which they are able to renew themselves continuously evaluating the interaction between interior design and its sub-disciplines by following so-called scientific and technological developments.
LO-10 : gain qualification to be able to study in their own field or in multi-disciplinary fields individually or in a team effectively and having responsibility and carrying out it.
LO-11 : gain qualification questioning their own studies, evaluating and analyzing knowledge and skills in Interior Design by a criticizing approach.
LO-12 : gain qualification in reporting presentations and reports in Interior Design to experts or non-experts effectively and correctly by using visual, written and spoken methods.
LO-13 : gain qualification to transform abstract and concrete concepts into creative thoughts, innovative and genuine works considering aesthetic values by the awareness of national and international values related to Interior Design.
