The aim of the course:
To have information about the causes of earthquakes and earthquake types, to examine the causes of damage to buildings damaged by earthquakes that have occurred so far, to have information about current earthquake regulations and rules, to examine the structural system used in buildings and the earthquake behavior of these carrier systems, to examine the earthquake resistant structure design rules. to learn and to learn seismic control methods and usage purposes.

Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Will have information about earthquakes 8,91
LO - 2 : Will have knowledge about earthquake regulations8,91
LO - 3 : Will be able to learn and apply earthquake resistant building design within the scope of suggestions and provisions in earthquake regulations. 8,91
LO - 4 : Causes of earthquake damages will be determined and thus, necessary measures will be taken in designs to prevent these damages.
