The aim of the course:
To inform the students about the principles of designing urban spaces and the space standards of specific functional areas; to make the students aware to environmental and natural factors that provide advantages/disadvantages for designers on the large scale architectural applications. Also, to equip students with skill of analysing such factors and evaluate positively in their design processes. To experience a design of neighbourhood that is liveable, has identity, and sensitive to the environmental values and conditions.

Contents of the Course
The studio introduces practical problems based on real urban cases. Creative process of studio works covers data collection and analysis, goal setting, problem solving and project evaluation. In this process the students are asked to use all the knowledge and skill they acquire in all the courses related to planning, design, and social and physical environment.
