The aim of the course:
To introduce glass building materials and their types, to have knowledge about applications used glass building material, to given an idea about what kind of glass can be used in the architectural building, learning principles of intelligent systems that can be made with glass on new generation technological facades, to produce projects for energy efficient use of glass building materials.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : They will acquire the basic information about the types of glass and glass systems used in the architecture, formation, technical and detailing principles121,6,
LO - 2 : They can create different glass systems that can be used in buildings and compare their performance to these systems121,6
LO - 3 : They can decide which type of glass system they can use in the next generation of technological facades and they can detail it.121,6
LO - 4 : They can decide on glazing systems that will reduce energy consumption in energy efficient building design121,6

Contents of the Course
Glass types and classification, glazing systems, usage areas of glass in architectural buildings (construction, technical and detailing principles), smart glass systems, use of glass material in energy-efficient construction design; Principles and principles of application, evaluation of glass systems used in buildings and student presentations.
