The aim of this course is to provide basic knowledge about geophysical engineering

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : learn more about Karadeniz Technical University and department of geophysics.5,6,8
LO - 2 : learn the relationship between the earth sciences and geophysics.8,9,10
LO - 3 : be introduced to the conditions of the labour market and potential workspaces where they can find a suitable job.10
LO - 4 : be taught the main and sub disciplines of geophysical engineering and their applications.3,5,12

Contents of the Course
Introduction, description and classification of the earth science, general structure of the earth, importance of geophysical methods for evaluating the general structure of the earth, review of the geophysical methods, study of the earth interior by the gravimetry, magnetic, electrical-electromagnetic methods and seismology.
