The aim of the course:
The course involves an overview of all major topics of the geology, including formetiona and evolution of the Earth, geological time, internal structure of the Earth, minerals, rock types, weathering, plate tectonics, deformation, mountain building, earthquakes, oceans and rivers, glaciers, climate change.

Contents of the Course
What is Geology?, geological time, how the Earth formed and evolved?, minerals, magma and magmatic rocks, physical and chemical weathering, sedimentary rocks, metamorphism and metamorphic rocks, internal structure of the Earth, plate tectonics, supercontinents from the past to the future, oceans, river systems, winds and deserts, climate change, glaciers and glacial deposits, deformation, fractures, folds, earthquakes, Turkey?s seismicity
