The aim of the course:
To give an introduction to decision making processes, statistical approach to geological problems

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :

Contents of the Course
Graphical presentation of data: Histograms; Frequency curves; Pie diagrams; Box plots,Statistics: Descriptive methods; Probabilities; Sampling distributions; Testing of hypotheses; Small sampling theory; Chi-square tests, Anaysis of variance, Correlation theory; Curve fitting and the method of least squares; Simple lineer regression.
