Introduction to geophysics, progress in Geophysics and its relation to other scientific areas, introduction to applied geophysics, basic principles in gravity prospecting, gravity field of the earth, gravity measurements and interpretation, basic principles in magnetic prospecting, magnetic field of the earth, types of magnetism and magnetism in rocks, instruments in geomagnetic measurements, basic principles in seismic prospecting, seismic reflection and refraction methods, seismic data collection, processing and evaluation. Introduction of electrical&electromagnetic and borehole logging, acquisition and presentation of the field data, equipotential methods, electrical resistivity methods, self potential (SP) method, induced polarisation (IP) method. |
