Examination of human interaction with the geologic environment. Natural and man-made environmental problems. Geologic hazards such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, and volcanic eruptions will be considered. Natural resource and waste management, and human impacts on the physical environment. Artificial pollution causing incidents and solutions. Causes and methods of prevention of air pollution, soil and water. Health problems caused by pollution. Trace elements and health. |
