The aim of the course:
To make students acquainted with knowledge of the metamorhic processes, identification of the metamorhic rocks and their classification and nomenclature.

Introduction: Fundamental concepts; Classification and description of common metamorphic rock types in hand specimens and under the microscope; Textures and structures of metamorphic rocks; Concepts of metamorphic zones and facies; Metamorphic reactions and metamorphic assemblages; Contact metamorhism, Dynamic methamorphism, low temperature metamorphism, Regional metamorphism
