The aim of the course:
To introduce laboratory equipments and teach the applicability of techniques considering occupational health and safety
 
Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Learn the issues of Laboratory safety
LO - 2 : Learn the tools used in the laboratory
LO - 3 : Prepare a solution of the desired concentration unit
LO - 4 : Learn ways to intervene in emergency situations in laboratory accidents.

Contents of the Course
Occupational health and safety in the chemical laboratory, personal protective equipment, chemicals and safety measures, prevention, hazard warning symbols, laboratory supplies and usage, Laboratory Techniques (heating, cooling, drying and dryers, mixing, shaking, filtration, evaporation, reflux), Chemical Solutions and Preparing Solutions (% Chemical Solutions, Molarity, Normality, Molality, mole fraction, etc.)
