The historical development of the construction of the vessel, classification of the vessel types and expounding vessel types, general design parameters of the bulk carrier, general design principles of container ship, general design parameters of tankers, basic definitions of vessel geometry, vessel form coefficients and definitions of vessel dimensions, tonnage definitions, vessel preliminary design, basic structural elements of the vessel, shipbuilding facilities, production stages in shipbuilding, work station definitions in shipbuilding, block types of the vessel-double bottom block, side block, bulkhead block, aft block, fore block-, the reasons of the accidents in shipbuilding, the contracts between shipowner and shipyard. |
