The aim of the course:
Understanding the importance of the discontinuity properties of rock masses in mining.

Contents of the Course
Discontinuity types, importance of discontinuities in mining, compass training in order to measure the discontinuity orientation, fault types and interpretation and description of faults encountered in tunnel. Accurate evaluation of discontinuity in open pit mines and tunnel studies. Kinematical analysis of discontinuity orientation measured on slopes of open pit mines.
