The aim of the course:
To examine the biophysical basis of potential changes in the excitable cell, to learn the biophysical events that occur during the transmission of these potentials and to transfer them to other cells, and to examine the techniques used during the examination of these potential changes.

Programme OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : explain the three different potentials in the cell membrane with their reasons1,2,6,91,4,5,
PO - 2 : calculate the membrane potential that will occur with the given ion concentrations1,2,6,91,4,5,
PO - 3 : explain synapse and synaptic transmission with its types and mechanisms1,2,6,91,4,5,
PO - 4 : explain the techniques of recording from a single cell1,2,6,91,4,5,
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), PO : Learning Outcome

Contents of the Course
