Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
PO - 1 : Understand the features of cancer cells in cell cyle and apoptosis1
PO - 2 : Understand the transformations in cancer cells towards metastasis and angiogenesis1
PO - 3 : Distinguish the immune system responses that prevent and induce cancer formation.1
PO - 4 : Understands the extent of cancer stem cells.1
PO - 5 : Comprehends mutations, chromosomal changes and epigenetic modifications observed in cancer cells.1
PO - 6 : Knows current cancer diagnosis and treatment methods.1

Contents of the Course
It includes understanding human gene and genome structure, human genetic variations (mutations and polymorphisms), chromosomal, genetic, molecular and biochemical bases of diseases.
