The aim of the course:
The aim of this course is to explain the management and organization theories used in modern businesses from a conceptual, analytical and pragmatic perspective. In addition, this course will help students develop their own management philosophies by enabling them to analyze and understand their own management concept.

Contents of the Course
1) MANAGEMENT AND TRAINING OF SHIP PERSONNEL: Ship personnel management and training working knowledge, 2) LEGISLATION: Information on relevant international maritime legislation and recommendations and national legislation, 3) ABILITY TO APPLY TASK AND WORKLOAD MANAGEMENT: Plan and assistance, staff assignment, time and resource constraints, prioritization, 4) ABILITY AND KNOWLEDGE TO APPLY EFFECTIVE RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: Allocating, assigning and prioritizing resources, effective communication on board and on shore, decisions reflecting the importance of team experiences, motivation, leadership, and gaining and maintaining situational awareness, 5) ABILITY AND KNOWLEDGE TO APPLY DECISION-MAKING TECHNIQUES: Situation and risk assessment, considering and determining the options, selection of action progress, evaluation of result effectiveness.
