The aim of the course:
To teach the safety and measurement control techniques on ships. To give knowledge and skills of machining, To gain knowledge and skills of welded manufacturing

Contents of the Course
Safety in the workshop. Measuring and control instruments. Hand tools. Leveling operation. Basic applications in machine tools. screw production. Conical and Spring calculation and application. Engine room tools, Ship maintenance and manufacturing promotion, Fixed connections, Riveting, Soldering, Adhesives and bonding, Intrinsically safe connections, basic welding applications used in ships, welding metallurgy and inspection, Electric arc, oxyacetylene, powder and gas metal arc welding applications with different types. Heat treatments of carbon steels, Welding of low carbon steels, Welding defects, Pipework, thermal cutting applications.
