The aim of the course:
To provide some information on the efficient energy usage and the energy politics in the world, to introduce the measuring systems and devices for energy management programmes in plants, to teach the calculation of optimum insulation thickness and some economic analysis methods for the new energy technology investments in industrial plants. To gain design ability on energy efficient systems of industrial plants.

Energy sources. Energy management and audit. Measurement devices and techniques. Energy and mass balance. Heat transfer and insulation applications. Steam boilers. Combined heat and power (CHP) systems. Industrial drying process. Industry and its impacts on environment. Economical analysis methods.
