The aim of the course:
To introduce modern and traditional approaches to classroom management. To gain the basic knowledge and skills of classroom management to prospective teachers. To explain the importance of Classroom management for teachers. To explain the role of leadership in Classroom management. To provide knowledge and skills of identifying critical incidents in the classroom. To help prospective teachers to learn developing strategies for conflict resolution in the classroom.

Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Explain the dimension of classroom management
LO - 2 : Explain the basic classroom management models with examples
LO - 3 : Determine the relation between classroom management and discipline concept
LO - 4 : Obtain information about forming effective classroom rules and application techniqu
LO - 5 : Have the necessary strategy and techniques for undesired behaviors

Contents of the Course
Classroom organization for effective learning. Development and implementation of effective systems for classroom management to maximize learning. Social and psychological factors which determine or affect students' attitudes, motivation and behaviour in schools. Group interactions. Behavioural problems. Techniques for meeting the needs of individual learners. The analysis of events and critical incidents in the classroom.
