The aim of the course:
The course aims to provide the students with a general knowledge on gravity concentration, to enable them to understand how to separation of particles of minerals of different specific gravity.

Contents of the Course
An introduction to Gravity Concentration. Development of the Gravity Concentration Flowsheet. Mineralogical aspects of Gravity Concentration. Theory of Gravity Concentration. Theory of Heavy Medium Separation. Heavy liquid separation for specific gravity fractionation. Unit Processes; Heavy Medium Separation, Jigging, Spirals, The shaking table, Sluice boxes and palongs. Plant Practice.
