The aim of the course:
The aim of the course is to understand the mechanism of epigenetic modifications in DNA and histones, the structure of chromatin and their role in gene regulation, how epigenetic modifications function during normal development and their relationship with diseases.

Learning OutcomesCTPOTOA
Upon successful completion of the course, the students will be able to :
LO - 1 : Aware of the epigenetic modifications that occur in DNA and histone and to understand the relationship between epigenetic modifications11
LO - 2 : Understand the chromtin structure11
LO - 3 : Understand the effect of epigenetic mechanisms on gene regulation11
LO - 4 : Understand the importance of epigenetic mechanisms in the normal development process and the formation and course of diseases11
CTPO : Contribution to programme outcomes, TOA :Type of assessment (1: written exam, 2: Oral exam, 3: Homework assignment, 4: Laboratory exercise/exam, 5: Seminar / presentation, 6: Term paper), LO : Learning Outcome
