The aim of the course:
Within the scope of the course, it is aimed that the students determine the welding methods used in shipbuilding and the parameters that are effective in the selection of these methods. Again, within the scope of this course, it is aimed to teach the design of welded constructions and the evaluation of weld quality.

Contents of the Course
Basic principles of welding and welded joining, welding methods used extensively in shipbuilding, factors that play a role in the selection of welding method in changing parts of ships, the effect of changing materials on welding selection, design of welded constructions and evaluation of welding quality.
